ALIGN Final Symposium

This final symposium will share results of the Access and inclusion for students with disabilities higher education network – in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) ALIGN project - a GCRF and Academy of Medical Sciences grant that supported the development of a network of universities in the ASEAN region, led by Coventry University in the UK, and Philippine Normal University, Philippines.

The project aimed to bring together partners in selected countries in the ASEAN region to explore opportunities in supporting disabled students to access quality higher education experiences and to develop inclusive practices that support achievement. Each partner will share their reflections on how the project developed over time using an Appreciative Inquiry approach, what changed as a result of the network and plans for the future.

There will also be a small showcase to highlight a snapshot of some videos partners have produced to illustrate student experiences, with the aim of encouraging more students to continue their education post high school.
