Event details

This workshop will look into some of the key findings from a study conducted by the University of West Scotland in association with Coventry University, which centred on the impact Covid-19 had on deaf students in higher education settings.

In addition to this, it will explore the journey of deaf students in university and how to support the deaf community better through different case studies.

The workshop is led by deaf students and researchers and is aimed at academics, managers, disability support staff deaf and hearing students, equality and diversity practitioners and anyone linked to higher education.

BSL Interpreters and Captioners will be provided.

The research is funded by ESRC and based at Coventry University. Project website address: www.deafcovidhe.com
