Abstract

Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN), which launched following a G8 Summit in 2012, supports global efforts to make agricultural and nutritionally relevant data available, accessible, and usable for unrestricted use worldwide.

Seeking to improve food security and strengthen food supply chains, the GODAN Secretariat works to support the UN SDG2 of Zero Hunger. We achieve this by focusing on building high-level policy as well as public and private institutional support for open data.

In this talk we will introduce you to GODAN’s work, and how we are taking our work around open data from advocacy to action.
