Final advice from Coventry University to students getting results today
Wednesday 16 August 2017
In recent years more than 400,000 students have been accepted to higher education by A-level results day, while around 150,000 have been free to be placed in Clearing.
John Latham, Vice-Chancellor of Coventry University, said:
“Thousands of students across the country are unlocking the door to higher education today and I’d like to congratulate all of them.
Those still seeking a place in Clearing will be in a strong position this year, with no cap on places in England and fewer 18-year-olds in the population.
There will be plenty of options available, including in courses that didn’t exist when I was student, such as cyber security.
Universities’ phone lines and social media are standing ready to answer your enquiries. In common with most universities, the majority of Coventry courses will have at least some places available this year.
Our Clearing team will be working hard to reassure students and to help them make the right choices.
Those who have been through Clearing tell us that these supportive telephone conversations with staff on the day and the chance to visit our campus helped shaped their decision and their future.
We look forward to welcoming those applicants whose places are confirmed at Coventry and those who will discover us through Clearing over the next few days.”
