Dr Ian Brittain get awarded with €850,000

Dr Ian Brittain from CPRS, along with Dr Terri Byers from the Sport and Events Management Department have recently been awarded €850,000 from the Marie Curie International Research Staff Exchange Scheme. The funds are for a four year project entitled 'Carnival' that will investigate the management of social and economic legacy impacts of sporting and cultural mega-events.
The project is a partnership between Coventry University; Munich Technical University, Germany; Cape Peninsular University of Technology, South Africa; University of Massachusetts, USA and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will commence in early 2014.
