Coventry University is launching a new scholarship programme which will see £1 million worth of academic awards offered to students from around the world.

A range of scholarships will be available from this week for undergraduate and postgraduate courses in each of the University’s four faculties, which focus on business and law, health and life sciences, arts and humanities and engineering and computing.

The University, which is situated in the heart of the city of Coventry, was earlier this year voted by the Times Higher Education magazine as one of the top 200 “most international” universities in the world based on its global outlook, teaching and research.

A key part of the rich and diverse student population in Coventry is the inclusion of 6,000 students from over 150 different countries.

Dr David Pilsbury, deputy vice-chancellor for international development at Coventry University, said:

We’re absolutely delighted to be launching this new scholarship programme and to be inviting talented people from around the world to come and join Coventry University for what could be some of the best years of their life.”

Coventry was named ‘University of the Year’ in the THE Awards 2015, and as of 2016 the institution is the UK’s top modern university in the Guardian University Guide – in which it ranks 15th overall – the Complete University Guide, and the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, which for the past three years has named Coventry the ‘Modern University of the Year’.
