Coventry conference promises businesses the inside story on the rail industry

Manufacturers, businesses and suppliers are being offered the opportunity to help shape the future of the rail industry at a forthcoming conference at Coventry University.
The University is joining with the Rail Alliance - the business to business networking organisation for the rail industry – to host the free event, which takes place at Coventry University’s city centre campus on Thursday 6 March 2014.
‘Rail Interiors: The Inside Story’ will explore the latest thinking on all aspects of rail interior design from seating and materials, lighting, washroom facilities and flooring to infotainment, safety and security systems.
The conference will also explore up to date research and development, outline how customers and suppliers can access funding programmes and present opportunities for networking with key players in the sector.
Top industry figures, such as former Chairman of Chiltern Railways Adrian Shooter, will also be attending to share their experience and air their thoughts on the future of the rail interiors sector.
Other speakers include David Clark from the Future Rail Innovation Team and Jason Aldridge, Managing Director of Arrowsmith Engineering Ltd, who will talk about the merits of collaborative working and supply chain development giving comparative examples from the Coventry and Warwickshire Aerospace Forum (CWAF).
