A leading organisational development provider is demonstrating its ‘commitment to people development’ by supporting one of the UK’s most prestigious awards for business.

Acua Limited, the corporate training subsidiary of Coventry University, is sponsoring one of the top categories at the British Chambers of Commerce’s (BCC) Chamber Awards 2012.

The awards, which are in their ninth year, are designed to recognise and promote the best businesses in Britain through a series of regional heats followed by the national final to be held in London on November 29.

Acua Limited, which develops, delivers and accredits work-based leadership and talent management programmes across the UK, is sponsoring the ‘Commitment to People Development’ award.

Jeannine Mortlock, managing director at Acua Limited, is among a panel of judges selecting this year’s winner of the category, who will follow in the footsteps of the current holder, Ledbury-based cider marker H Weston & Sons.

We’re really proud to be sponsoring the ‘Commitment to People Development’ award

 Jeannine said.

At Acua Limited we work with organisations across a wide range of sectors to develop employee skills, enable performance, support talent and drive business growth, so we are delighted to be demonstrating our commitment to people development with our involvement in these prestigious awards.

The British Chambers of Commerce is the national voice of business and its Chamber Awards are among the most hotly-contested industry awards in the UK.

The awards attract hundreds of exceptional entries and I’m looking forward to reviewing this year’s submissions and helping to pick out a deserved winner.

Other categories at this year’s awards include achievement in international business, excellence in innovation, marketing campaign of the year, most promising new business, excellence in customer service, the sustainability award, entrepreneur and business of the year.

Regional winners are announced in October, ahead of the national gala awards dinner at the Guildhall in London.
