Coventry University Group has been given the top rating in every single category in the latest QS Stars.
The Group, which includes Coventry University, Coventry University London and CU campuses across the UK, has been awarded 5 Stars in nine categories. Seven of those are core categories that each institution is judged on and include:
Two further optional categories that saw Coventry University Group gain further 5 Stars were Programme strength – Nursing and diversity, equity and inclusion.
The Group is one of only two institutions to gain the highest possible rating in nine categories and its rating of 5 Stars in Research came after a previous rating of 4 Stars.
QS Stars is a globally recognised university rating system and uses independent and in-depth evaluations to cover all components that make a world-class university.
This is a truly incredible achievement to receive the highest ranking across each category and one of which we could not be more proud. It shows the excellence that colleagues right across our Group achieve every day.
Our research continues to have a real-life impact on communities here in the UK and abroad, while our TEF Gold standard teaching prepares our students to fulfil their full potential and aspirations in their chosen field. Nowhere is that more embodied than in our nursing courses where the number of students has jumped by more than 70% in the past five years.
QS Stars are seen as the most comprehensive mark of higher education excellence and the 5 Stars given to Coventry University Group across the board shows we are devoted to our aim of creating better futures.
Professor John Latham CBE, Coventry University Vice-Chancellor and Group CEO
Coventry University Group has been expanding its teaching, research and knowledge transfer activities across the globe. In the past 12 months it has opened Coventry University Kazakhstan and secured initial approval to become the first English university to open a campus in GIFT City, India.
This will bring the total planned investment by its partners into overseas campuses to £1billion, a huge vote of confidence in the value of a Coventry University degree.
The Group also has branch or branded campuses in Poland, Egypt and Morocco, with its research and enterprise partnership supported by a network of global hubs in Brussels, Singapore, India, Rwanda and China.
