Students with special requirements

Our range of accommodation options are designed to be inclusive and accessible to suit your individual needs. If you have any special requirements, let us know when you apply for accommodation online.

Students with disabilities

All our university-owned accommodation buildings include a limited number of rooms specially adapted for disabled use. We may also be able to make specific adaptations depending on your needs. You can find out more about our accessible accommodation options on the AccessAble website.

Care leavers

If you are a care leaver and studying with us full time, you could be eligible for our Care Leavers Accommodation Support Scheme. The scheme provides free accommodation for the duration of your course, alongside access to pastoral care from student wardens. For further information, email our Student Support Services team at welfare.ss@coventry.ac.uk.

Students with medical conditions

If you have a serious medical condition, let us know when you apply for accommodation so we can prioritise your needs. We can then discuss your requirements further to ensure you receive all the support you need during your stay with us. You will need to provide supporting documentation.

Lifestyle choices

Where possible we try to provide accommodation to suit specific lifestyle choices such as quiet, alcohol-free, or single-sex flats. Please ensure you state these requirements on your application form and please be aware that due to availability, we cannot guarantee every request.

Short-term accommodation needs

We provide a limited selection of rooms for students who may not require accommodation for a full academic year. This may include placement students, exchange students or those on teaching or short courses.
