 Recent Advances in Assistive Technology & Engineering (RAatE) logoThe Recent Advances in Assistive Technology & Engineering (RAatE) conference is back with a new venue for 2014! This years’ event will be held at the Gallery Suites at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Birmingham on Monday 24th November 2014.

Ran in conjunction with HDTI, RAatE 2014 will be of interest to anyone who uses, works with, develops or conducts research in to Assistive Technology (AT) and offers you the opportunity to present to a unique multi-disciplinary audience dedicated to AT and the chance to meet and share knowledge with other people working in the field.

RAatE looks to provide news and updates on new technological developments, service innovations, results of formal research projects, service based research and development and a wide range of other stimulating topics.

The Call for Papers for this years’ event is now open and we welcome papers, posters, case studies and workshops on subjects relating to advances in AT and engineering. We would particularly welcome those that cover the following topics:

  • Learning disability
  • AT & education
  • Workforce development
  • Research skills
  • Innovation landscape

Contributions are welcome from those working in the field of, or using AT on the full range of products and services designed to enable independence for disabled and older people. If you have a paper or poster that you would like to present that does not fall in to any of the above topics, we would still like to hear from you.

Attendance fee’s for RAatE 2014 are as follows:

  • Delegate fee £150
  • Exhibitor early bird rate £250 (until 31 August 2014. Fee after this date is £300)
