Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF)
Our teaching was rated Gold Overall in the latest TEF, confirming the excellence of the undergraduate teaching carried out at Coventry University Group.
The TEF assesses and rates universities and colleges on the quality of their teaching by looking at measures including student satisfaction, student retention rates and graduate employment levels. Its award ratings of Gold, Silver and Bronze are valid for four years. The TEF Gold awarded to Coventry University Group reflects that, as a higher education provider, we deliver consistently outstanding teaching, learning and outcomes for our students, and that the provision is amongst the highest quality found in the UK.
The TEF panel praised our “embedded outstanding teaching, feedback and assessment practices that are highly effective and tailored to supporting students’ learning, progression, and attainment.” They concluded that Coventry offers “outstanding quality provision for all groups of students and courses,” including those from underrepresented backgrounds.

Coventry University was awarded a 5 QS Stars Overall Rating, the maximum rating, across all of the categories we were assessed on.
We earned 5 QS Stars for Employability, emphasising the outstanding employability opportunities provided by Coventry University Group for its students, which are reflected by its impressive graduate employment or further study rate of 78 per cent.
We achieved 5 QS stars for Research, highlighting the world-leading research undertaken across the group. In addition, Coventry University Group gained a Specialist Criteria ranking of five stars for Programme Strength in Mental Health Nursing.
