Global Mobility Prize Draw terms and conditions

The Global Mobility (the “GM”) Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”) is managed by The Global Mobility Team and the Prizes administered by the Marketing and External Affairs department of Coventry University.

All entries to the Prize Draw are free of charge and all entries must be made via Global Opportunities Social Media accounts on either Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram at any time between 1 May 2022 and midnight on 31 May 2022 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the Prize Draw. Only one entry per person is allowed.

You are eligible to take part in the Prize Draw if you are currently a student at Coventry University, Coventry University London, CU Coventry, CU London or CU Scarborough (“Coventry University Group”) (“Eligible Students”).

In order to enter the Prize Draw, Eligible Students of the Coventry University Group must complete the following:

1. Follow Global Opportunities on either Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or Instagram;
2. ‘Like’ the post about this Prize Draw;
3. Comment on the post about this Prize Draw explaining where they would most like to study abroad;
4. Tag three friends they would want to attend a STEP placement within the comment.

This Prize Draw is not available to employees of Coventry University, its subsidiaries and affiliates and suppliers or their immediate family or employees of the Coventry University Group (as defined in these Terms and Conditions), their immediate families or households, agents or anyone else connected with this Prize Draw. No third-party entries, bulk entries or entries submitted by agents will be accepted. Coventry University reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants. Coventry University may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for the purpose of verifying the eligibility of an entry and the Prizes may be withheld unless and until Coventry University is satisfied with the verification.

Incomplete, corrupted or delayed entries will not be eligible for the Prize Draw and Coventry University accepts no responsibility for such entries. Coventry University accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed entries, notices, acceptances, tickets or other documents related to the Prizes.

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, all Eligible Students who correctly enter the Prize Draw by following the instructions in clause 4(a)-(d) before the Closing Date will be entered into the Prize Draw to win a £150 Coventry University Travel Grant towards a Coventry University Exclusive STEP Programme (the “Prize”). Entries not complying with these terms and conditions will be invalid.

Coventry University accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.

Redeeming the Prizes will be subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Coventry University Exclusive STEP Programme. Please see Coventry University Exclusive STEP Programmes (sharepoint.com) for more details.

From all eligible entries received before the Closing Date, the winners will be determined by The Global Mobility Team using a computer-randomised draw within five (5) working days of the Closing Date. The selection shall be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.

The winner will be notified by Coventry University no later than 7 June 2022 via their social media account with instructions on how to accept the Prize. The Prize will be in deducted from the cost the student has to pay for the Coventry University Exclusive STEP Programme.

We will make the names of the winner of the Prize Draw available on the Student Portal no later than 7 June 2022. Winners have the right to remain anonymous and must inform us via email at corporatecomms.mea@coventry.ac.uk before 31 May 2022 if they do not wish to be identified in this way.

Where a winner does not respond within six (6) weeks of notification, if any Prize is otherwise unclaimed or declined, the Prize shall be deemed as not accepted and a supplementary winner may be selected at random by The Global Mobility Team and Coventry University notified accordingly.

Coventry University will not be responsible for any inability of a Prize winner to not being able to use their Prize by 31 August 2022. Prizes are non-transferable nor can they be substituted for a cash alternative.

Coventry University reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Prize Draw and/or review and revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without giving prior notice, where it becomes necessary to do so.

Winners will be required to provide their name, University email address and Student ID number, in order for Coventry University to distribute the Prizes; for purposes mentioned in the Privacy Statement; and to help ensure compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
