The Centre for Academic Writing (CAW) has been supporting students’ writing since 2004. CAW offers a range of academic writing support services that are designed to help you become an independent writer and build your writing skills set that you can use in your chosen career.
CAW’s team of experienced and professional Academic Writing Tutors can help you develop a transferable skills set of writing knowledge throughout your studies, by fully utilising CAW’s range of writing support services:
- ‘CAW Libguides’ website: An online and downloadable resources website on academic writing topics.
- Online Writing Development Workshops: Online workshops on popular writing topics with each topic scheduled multiple times per semester.
- Single Question Drop-in Sessions: ‘No appointment necessary’ sessions offered multiple times a week during CAW’s peak demand weeks that provide an opportunity to talk to an Academic Writing Tutor for up to 10 minutes.
- One-to-one Academic Writing Tutorials: An opportunity to gain individualised advice and guidance from an experienced and professional Academic Writing Tutor for 45 minutes.
- Facilitated Writing Time Sessions: An excellent opportunity to utilise a quiet space in CAW’s Academic Writing Studio to spend quality time writing, and making progress on, your written assignments. An Academic Writing Tutor is in attendance to provide quick advice and guidance.
