Demonstrating Research Impact – defined as beneficial, ‘real-world’ change, driven by research – has become increasingly important (and in some cases essential) for academics.

This webinar will give an outline of the expectations that universities and funding bodies put on academics in relation to planning for and measuring the ‘impact’ of their research, and what this can mean for the partners and collaborators they are working with beyond academia.

A better understanding of this ‘Impact Agenda’ can give stakeholders from local authorities, community and voluntary sector organisations and elsewhere an insight into academic motivations for project organisation, stakeholder management, and light-touch impact evaluation.

The webinar will suggest ways these expectations on Research Impact can fit with the aims and objectives of non-academic stakeholders within HDRCs, and how knowledge of this ‘Impact Agenda’ can empower future research collaborations for all parties.
