Pursuing his PhD at Coventry University, Dr. Joseph worked under the guidance of leading experts, focusing on financial crime, AI, and legal frameworks. This contribution makes a case for the integration of AI into Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programs in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and proposes a framework leveraging AI technologies such as machine learning (ML) and Distribution Ledger Technology (DLT) to maintain a minimum due diligence standard in alignment with best practice standards of international organisations such as the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and Organisation for Economic and Cooperation and Development (OECD).
The research highlights the importance of an appropriate regulatory environment in deploying AI responsibly promoting algorithmic transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
