Top marks for Coventry University in ‘Stars’ global ratings

A global higher education ratings index has awarded Coventry University four out of five stars based on its performance across a number of measures.
The QS Stars Awards gave the University the full complement of five stars in the teaching, employability, internationalisation and facilities categories, highlighting its strengths in the areas of student satisfaction, graduate prospects and global collaborations and diversity.
Ian Dunn, deputy vice-chancellor for student experience, said:
We are delighted by this rating and in particular the fact that the excellence Coventry University achieves in terms of its teaching, employability, facilities and its international reach has been marked with a full five star rating.
“The experience and satisfaction of our students, both whilst they are studying and as graduates is at the heart of all we do. We are very proud of the highly employable young people we are able to send into the workforce, fully equipped to take on the challenges ahead.”
The report concluded that teaching was one of Coventry’s strongest categories, with students reporting a high level of satisfaction, both with teaching and in their overall experience. Satisfaction is also high after graduation with full points scored for the graduate employment rate and the university’s career service. The university also obtained maximum points for disabled access and low-income outreach.
Coventry’s five star performance for internationalisation was achieved by being able to demonstrate dedication to international students and faculty members, with maximum points received in the five areas of international collaboration, international faculty, international students, religious facilities and international diversity.
