Coventry University Group will once again help students and graduates undertake life-changing international opportunities overseas thanks to a £1million grant.
Learners can access funding from the government’s Turing Scheme to help with travel and living costs while studying, working or volunteering abroad.
The amount of funding available depends on where students are going, how long they will be abroad - between 14 days and 12 months - and personal circumstances.
Applications for funding are open to students or recent graduates applying within 12 months from the end of their course from Coventry University, Coventry University London and the Group’s three CU bases in London, Scarborough and Coventry.
All placements must be hosted by an organisation outside of the UK and extra funding is available for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
A student’s time at university is one of the most important of their lives and at Coventry University we aren’t just shaping them academically, we are helping them grow as people and the chance to travel abroad to experience new cultures and different ways of learning is a big part of that.
Being able to offer financial help can be the difference between a student going abroad or not, so we are proud to have gained more funding from the Turing Scheme.
