CreaTech Europe Connect has launched to support creative, digital and immersive small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the West Midlands to expand into European markets and build international partnerships.

Led by Coventry University and aligned with the region’s CreaTech Frontiers cluster, the programme will help businesses convert recent research and development (R&D) investment into global opportunities through tailored internationalisation support, funded showcasing opportunities and direct access to European innovation networks.

Through CreaTech Europe Connect, which is funded by the West Midlands Innovation Programme, selected SMEs will benefit from:

  • Brokered introductions to European partners, funders and markets
  • Access to Coventry University’s network of hubs, investors and policy makers, as well as Coventry University’s Brussels office
  • A fully-funded showcase at VentureFest West Midlands in March 2026
  • A funded place at Laval Virtual Festival in April 2026, Europe’s leading immersive technology event, with dedicated support to explore trade, joint R&D and co-investment opportunities

The programme focuses on helping crea-tech businesses take their next step toward international growth, collaboration and investment. With Europe offering a thriving market for immersive media, gaming, creative content and digital innovation, CreaTech Europe Connect is expected to unlock new partnerships and strengthen the region’s global crea-tech profile.

CreaTech Europe Connect is now open for expressions of interest from West Midlands SMEs across gaming, XR, immersive, creative content, CreaTech and wider digital innovation sectors.
