Where can I charge my electric car?
There is no need to worry about getting stuck without a charge point in Coventry - Coventry City Council has installed a large number of rapid chargers around the city.
Coventry University Group also provides the following destination charge points:
- In the Multi Storey Car park there are 20 electric vehicle charging points (level 1, 3 pin plugs – you will need to use your own EVSE cable). University staff only (visitors must book in advance).
- At CU Coventry (Mile Lane) there are 12 electric vehicle charging points (7kW). Coventry University staff and students (permit required).
- At the Technology Park (Conference Centre) there are 2 electric vehicle charging points (7kw). Contact the Technology Park for information about usage.
- At CU London there are 16 electric vehicle charging points (7kW). Contact CU London in advance to book use of a charge point.
University visitors arriving by electric vehicle may reserve a charging space at the Multi Storey – email us to confirm.
I’ve changed car. What do I need to do?
Students don’t need to do anything. Staff members need to contact the Alan Berry reception on 024 77 658788 to arrange for their permit to be updated.
Can I use a different car on a temporary basis?
Of course! Students can swap cars as they need. Staff members should leave a note on their dashboard alongside their parking permit.
What do I do if the machine isn’t working?
Protection Officers test car parking payment machines daily, but please contact Alma Control on 024 77 657363 to report any problems.
Can I park at the University overnight?
Overnight parking in the MSCP must be for business purposes only and must be approved – please email Andrew Nash for approval.
I’m organising an event. Can I arrange car parking?
Event parking can sometimes be accommodated, please email Ruth Hamson or Gary Dedden with details of your requirements.

There is a Council Park and Ride running from the War Memorial Park.
