AI is shaping decisions all around us, often in ways we do not see, from analytical systems to the newer generative and agentic tools rapidly entering workplaces and classrooms. This practical in-person session offers a space to ask what these developments mean for our work, our communities and the people who are most affected by these systems.
Across two hours, we will work with real examples, hands-on activities, and focused discussions to uncover how different forms of AI influence decision making, why good data practice matters, and where small biases can become wider structural harm. You will leave with greater insight on recognising the risks, ask better questions and make values-led choices when using or relying on AI tools.
No specialist knowledge required - just an interest in using AI in a responsible and informed way. If you are joining us for the in-person session, bring a laptop so you can join in the hands-on practice.
