We know it’s a challenge to sum up your true potential in an application form and pulling together the detail on all your achievements can feel daunting. Our enhanced offer programme gives you the chance to influence the offer you get from us.
What is the enhanced offer programme?
Our enhanced offer programme is your chance to show us your passion for your course, knowledge and skills, which if showcased successfully, will enable us to give you a personalised offer relating to the course you have applied to.
Examples of enhanced offers include part removal of academic conditions related to your chosen course or a change to the conditions, for example a reduced offer.
Already had a reduced offer?
You may have already received a reduced offer via one of our other schemes (Fair Access or Phoenix Partnership). We will always aim to invite you to participate in the scheme that provides the greatest reduction of your offer, depending on individual circumstances. How do I know if I’m eligible?
When you apply, we assess your application before making a standard offer. If you are eligible for the enhanced offer programme we'll invite you to take part in a short activity at one of our on-campus applicant visit days or online via video call. You'll get the best from the activity by joining us in person at one of our on-campus applicant visit days.
The activity is tailored to your chosen degree. Bring your passion and be ready to show us the skills gained through your current studies. Our academic teams will guide you through the activity, offering support and clear instructions.
If you’re applying for a creative course, the best way to showcase your skills is through your work. Bring any sketchbooks you have, films or sound clips, it could even simply be a link to your Instagram or YouTube accounts.
The activity will take place at one of our Applicant Visit Days during the course taster session. For an idea of what you’ll be asked to do, search for your course in our Applicant Visit Day guide.
We won’t expect you to have all the answers. Our hands-on, course-related exercise gives you a chance to explore an element of your subject area, collaborate with other students, and gain a real sense of studying the course could be like. This interactive session is a chance to show how inspired you are about your subject and your potential while being fully supported by our dedicated academic teams.
What happens next?
Success = Enhanced Offer. Successfully complete the activity, and a new, improved offer to study with us awaits you. It's a testament to your skills and engagement during the session. We’ll update your offer through your UCAS Hub, although it can take up to ten days for this to come through.
No Completion, No Worries. Unable to attend an applicant visit day or an online session to complete the activity, or it’s not completed to the requisite level? Your existing offer still stands strong.
