Student led tours

We offer regular visit opportunities to give you the chance to get a real feel for our city-centre campus, outstanding learning facilities and accommodation options, all led by one of our current students.

When can I visit?

Tours take place on either a Wednesday or a Friday – so it’s normally busy enough for you to get a proper impression of the campus. Tours will be held on:

  • Wednesday 1 May
  • Friday 10 May
  • Wednesday 15 May
  • Friday 31 May

The tours start at 11am and last for about 75 minutes. They are followed by lunch on us in the central Food Court. Please note, as it is a walking tour we advise wearing appropriate footwear.

If you can’t make any of the dates listed, please keep checking back on the booking form as new dates are added regularly.

What is covered?

The tour is designed to give a general overview of the Coventry University campus. It doesn’t cover course or faculty-specific locations, although our staff and student guides will do all they can to answer any questions you may have about this. It includes:

  • The Hub – our multi-purpose students’ building provides space to relax, meet up with friends or study informally. Here you can find campus shops, Costa Coffee, the extensive Food Court and the open-plan Courtyard restaurant. The building also houses the Students' Union, careers department and the Health and Wellbeing Centre.
  • The Square One venue in The Hub – this versatile space can be used as a cinema, club or entertainment venue but also hosts conferences, events and careers fairs.
  • The Lanchester Library – provides over 1400 study spaces spread over five floors as well as group study rooms and access to thousands of books, journals and electronic resources. It’s also home to the student support centres we have for maths and academic writing, the postgraduate reading room and a creative learning zone on the top floor.
  • Sport and Recreation Centre – the centrally-located centre contains a fully equipped gym and fitness suite, two-court and four-court sports halls as well as a studio with regular dance and group exercise classes.
  • Student Accommodation – the university has a choice of accommodation, all just a short walk from campus. You will have the opportunity to visit one of our halls of residence to get a flavour of what it’s like to live in halls and view some of the facilities available to our students.
