What happens after my interview, audition or group session?

Congratulations, you can take a big deep breath and reflect on your experience.

If you are applying for an undergraduate course, via UCAS

The outcome will be recorded on UCAS track, so keep checking for an update to your application status. If you are successful you will be given an offer. The conditions of offers vary so check carefully. You will then be able to make your decision. Hopefully this means you’ll join us, and if so, you can expect emails from us to tell you more about what to look forward to, how to apply for accommodation and when to enrol.

If you are applying direct, or for a Postgraduate course

You will receive an email from our Admissions team telling you the outcome of your interview. The email will contain instructions on how to reply. The conditions of offers do vary so it’s important to check carefully. You will then be able to make your decision. Hopefully this means you’ll join us, and if so, you can expect emails from us to tell you more about what to look forward to, how to apply for accommodation and when to enrol.

If you are offered an alternative course

In some cases, you might be offered a different course to the one for which you applied. This may be because you have shown strengths in different areas, you don’t meet the criteria for your chosen course or we think another course would be more suited to your ambitions.

If this happens then take some time to read through the course information and make a note of any questions. If you’re happy with the offered alternative course, you can reply in UCAS track or follow the instructions in your admissions email. If you have further questions, please get in touch with our admissions team at ukadmissions@coventry.ac.uk and we’ll be happy to spend some time with you going through the course.

Many of our courses attract a high volume of applications. You may have been unsuccessful because you weren’t able to demonstrate as much experience as others, or because your answers weren’t quite what we were looking for. If this happens, please don’t be disheartened. If you choose, we can provide feedback about how your session went which can be helpful for future applications. In most cases, you can spend some time improving your skills and experience, and apply again for a future intake.
