If you are passionate about supporting children with additional needs to develop and thrive, our specialist SEND training routes will enable you to complete your training in a special school and develop the skills to teach diverse learners effectively.
Train to teach while you take your degree
Whether you're already working in a school or just starting your journey, our undergraduate programmes make it possible to combine studying for a degree with full-time teacher training in school.
Delivered online, our PGCE with QTS means you can be based in a school anywhere in England, provided the school meets our selection criteria to ensure it can offer the right support.
International teacher training
Our international Postgraduate Certificate of Education (iPGCE) combines the expected rigour and credibility of a university-led course with the practical advantages of being based in your school for the entirety of your training.
If you are an experienced teacher without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), then this programme could be for you. If you've been teaching for over two years, you could gain QTS in less than 12 weeks through this assessment-only route.
Funding for teacher training and development
By using the Apprenticeship Levy Scheme, your school can provide free, high-quality initial teacher training and professional development opportunities to its staff.
Our MA courses are distinct because they focus on developing the practical skills central to successful teaching and leadership.
