Event details

Science fiction writers develop stories looking at the real world, imagining its future, and trying to think of what dangers may lie ahead. Join us on 14th January with award- winning science fiction writers, Emma Newman and Allen Stroud from Coventry University, to explore the writers' method of imagining a future society in crisis, considering how we can develop resilience in our technologies, infrastructure and cultures to counter different threats and prevent them from happening.

The event is open to all, especially anyone interested in how to prepare for, respond to and recover from an attack on our infrastructure. This includes policymakers and practitioners in central and local government involved in resilience planning as well as in the business and the voluntary and community sectors.
