Postgraduate students from Coventry University’s School of Art and Design will be showcasing their work to the public at a free exhibition taking place in the city this month.

The MA Show 2014, which takes place from 12 to 19 September on the University’s city centre campus, highlights the creative endeavours of an international group of MA students in Contemporary Arts Practice, Graphic Design and Illustration & Animation.

The exhibition encompasses a broad range of work from paintings, hand drawn sketches and sculptures to digital animation and visual communication. As such, the show affords visitors the opportunity to enjoy the individuality, creative talent and professionalism of a new generation of emerging animators, artists and designers.

Seymour Roworth-Stokes, Executive Dean of Coventry School of Art and Design, said:

The MA student work to date has been of an exceptionally high standard and this latest collection is no different. The forthcoming exhibition is the culmination of our students’ creative endeavours over the last year and the result is a showcase of work that I am sure audiences will find diverse, lively and intellectually engaging.

The MA Show 2014 opens with a launch event at the Lanchester Gallery, Jordan Well, Coventry from 6pm to 9pm on Thursday 11 September 2014. The exhibition then runs daily from 10am to 5pm from Friday 12 to Friday 19 September at the Lanchester Gallery and the Graham Sutherland Building at Coventry University (closed Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September).
