Coventry University Wroclaw has teamed up with a global aerospace company to allow industry experts to share their skills with students.

Collins Aerospace is a major manufacturer in the aerospace industry and is now official course partner for the Aviation Management BSc course at Coventry University Wroclaw, delivering Fundamentals of Aeronautical Engineering and Flight Theory and Global Logistics and MRO Management modules.

Experts from the aerospace firm in Wroclaw will teach course modules and bring their own sector expertise to students.

One person who knows the value of a Coventry University degree within the aerospace industry is Bartosz Winiarski, who studied a European Engineering Course with a specialisation in Aerospace Engineering back in 2010.

Now Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Collins Aerospace, he is thrilled to be sharing his knowledge with the next generation of students as part of the new collaborative agreement.

If you were to tell me 11 years ago when I was graduating from Coventry University in the UK that sometime in the future, working in a world-leading aerospace company, I would conduct lectures on Aeronautical Engineering at Coventry University, in my home town of Wrocław, I would send you off with my best regards.

Thanks to the emerging industry-university cooperation between Collins Aerospace Wrocław and Coventry University Wrocław I will take a part in the Aviation Management course, making sure that Future Aviation Managers will have proper engineering rudiments. I truly hope this will give them the proper understanding of the business they are about to be a part of.

Bartosz Winiarski

Our Aviation Management BSc course is designed to develop students’ understanding of commercial aviation and help support learners who may be interested in seeking leadership positions and shaping the future of the industry. Being able to bring experts from Collins Aerospace on board as guest lecturers helps give our students vital business knowledge from those currently working within the sector.

Providing exposure to the industry and practical activities to immerse our students in the world of aviation management are key principles of this course and we’re delighted that Collins Aerospace are helping us to do that.

John Dishman, Pro-Vice Chancellor at Coventry University

When Coventry University invited Collins Aerospace in Wrocław to co-deliver the Aviation Management Course we did not hesitate to embrace the opportunity. We believe that closer relationships between universities and corporates on teaching is crucial as it facilitates the transition from higher education into employment.

The global aerospace market is huge and characterised by the need for highly skilled labour. We believe that by sharing our extensive experience in engineering and manufacturing aircraft systems and components we will support students in understanding the complexity and importance of the aerospace and defence industry to redefine futures in the coming years.
