Coventry University’s Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Building has signed up with training provider Prodigy Learning to deliver the official Autodesk Certified User (ACU) exams with their first year cohort of Building and Engineering students from September 2014.

All eligible first year students will take the ACU AutoCAD exam and students taking the second year Add + Vantage modules in Revit will also get the opportunity to take the ACU Revit exam.

In addition, due to the nature of the Autodesk ACU Campus Exam Pack, the remaining exams will be utilised by final year students from Architectural Technology, Architecture and Engineering.

Paul Smith, lecturer in CAD Development said:

Any way in which we can add value and confidence to a graduating student is worth pursuing.  With Autodesk accredited certification in AutoCAD and Revit, potential employers will recognise that our students have ready to go skills that they can use from the outset.

Craig Bewley, Director at Prodigy Learning, said:

Coventry University’s decision to adopt the Autodesk ACU certifications, further reinforces its desire to offer its students the best opportunity to get ahead in their careers, whilst at the same time forging stronger links with industry employers.
