Cultural and Creative Industries

Get in touch

The creative industries are undergoing their latest transformation as they fuse with technologies such as immersive media, virtual production and artificial intelligence. While the human essence of culture and creativity endures - to help us understand ourselves, each other and the world we share - this shift is reshaping how creative work is made, experienced and shared and is opening entirely new forms of cultural expression, social impact and economic opportunity.

Coventry University Group has long recognised that creativity drives economic and social development, beginning with its origins as Coventry School of Design, which was founded by industrialists and entrepreneurs in a former ribbon factory to provide creative and technical skills to local communities.

More than 180 years later, Coventry University Group continues that legacy by uniting cultural and creative research, education and enterprise to advance its mission of Creating Better Futures and to support the continued growth and innovation of the UK’s creative industries.
