Making industry contacts in the USA
Opportunities for international experiences are one of the big attractions of studying at Coventry University.
While studying Mechanical Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing, Joyce Tang seized an opportunity to spend six weeks in Detroit on a course-related field trip.
Here she tells us about that experience.
for overseas student experiences - based on student trips abroad - HESA 2016/17 UK
My field trip to Detroit was an incredibly fun experience. We were given the opportunity to make industrial contacts with huge engineering companies such as Mahle, Altair and Hirata.
We were also able to visit the University of Michigan and the Ford Assembly plant. These experiences were at the time exclusive to Coventry University because of the industrial contacts of one of our course lecturers.
I came into Coventry University through clearing, and whether it was fate or a reckless choice, I couldn’t be any happier here!
