Main Duties: Associate Head of Design and Visual Arts and Continuing Professional Development for School of Art and Design
Biography:
Following a background in industry as a designer and illustrator working in fields as diverse as sports sponsorship and theatre promotion Kollette joined the graphic design team at the School of Art and Design and became Course Director for three years before becoming Programme Manager for the Information Design Subject area, providing academic leadership and taking responsibility for the management of the curriculum and course development. Following the expansion of the subject area and new course development in Illustration and Fashion she was promoted to her current role as Associate Head of Design and Visual Arts.
Kollette is now developing courses and programmes for the Continuing Professional Development market using the expertise within the School of Art and Design to develop tailored approaches to art and design pedagogy for national and international clients.
Qualifications:
- M.A., Art and Design Education, University of Central England
- Certificate, Multicultural Studies, Coventry (Lanchester) Polytechnic
- B.A (Hons), Graphic Design, Coventry (Lanchester) Polytechnic
Research Interests:
- Student experience including recruitment, on course experience, retention and achievement
- The application of art and design pedagogy
- The practical and contextual applications of graphic design including typography, illustration, branding, professional practice and creative direction
