Introduction

There are lots of benefits to starting your master’s in May. It could be that you were unable to apply for a September, November, January or March start date, you decided to apply late, or you’re looking for a career change. You’re never too late to apply, and studying a master’s in May could be your first step to an exciting career.

Benefits of starting a master’s in May

Here are some reasons why you should be studying a master’s in May.

  • Flexibility – a lot of Coventry University postgraduate courses provide multiple start dates throughout the year, so you can choose to apply when you’re ready. This means you don’t have to wait for the next September start date. Check the individual course pages to see whether you can apply for a May start date.
  • Expand your network – join a thriving student community and benefit from making instant connections with fellow students, expanding your network from day one.
  • Options to fast track into the workforce – if you have a career in mind, it’s better to start on your journey as soon as possible. Starting a course in May allows you to graduate sooner, compared to those who wait for the next September start date. This means you will be able to apply for jobs sooner.
  • Better accommodation options – Coventry University offers shorter accommodation contracts, so you’re only paying for the time you’re studying. This means during the summer period you will have less competition and greater access to accommodation options.

What do you need to do to apply for a May start date?
