Coventry students are some of the most satisfied with their university experience with 87 percent scoring their institution highly in a national student survey, published today.

The results were revealed in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2018, an independent review which gives final year undergraduates across the country a chance to rate how satisfied they are with their university experience.

Of Coventry University students who responded, 87 percent said that overall, they were satisfied with the quality of their course – beating the sector average of 83 percent.

The best thing about studying here is the unlimited opportunities that are available, from participating in research projects to going on trips abroad.

I went to Lithuania as part of my course, and have volunteered on studies with children, yoga intervention testing, and caffeine studies on students. This is all a boost to my CV and will help me to decide what I want to do moving forward.

My lecturers go above and beyond to support me in and out of the lecture room and I would not be where I am on this degree without them.

Coventry University was ranked 13th in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2019 and retained its positon of top modern university. It was also placed in the top 100 universities in Europe for the quality of teaching and learning in a new Times Higher Education league table – ranking top in the UK and third in Europe for how well it engages with its students.

Prospective students with an interest in studying at Coventry can attend an open day on Saturday 18th August or visit the Clearing website www.coventry.ac.uk/clearing to find out which courses are available for study this September.

Vice-Chancellor, John Latham

>We want all of our students to grow in confidence and to feel well-equipped to have the best possible chances of success when they enter the workplace, so we’re pleased to see high levels of satisfaction reflected in this survey.

It’s a priority for us to continue improving the learning experience through investment in teaching facilities, and to increase our students’ employment prospects through travel and placement opportunities and courses that are designed to boost their problem-solving and professional skills.

The hard work of our staff to achieve this is what continues to makes Coventry stand out, and this positive reputation and international standing is something we are all very proud of.
