Course detail:

The course covers global issues and future innovations such as the commercialisation of autonomous technologies, human-technology interaction and safety.

Taking place at the National Transport Design Centre (NTDC) which is a state-of-the-art facility situated in Coventry University Technology Park. The NTDC is concerned with exploring the future of transport design, and houses leading experts who manage the mixed reality buck, driving simulator, CNC milling machines and advanced modelling facilities.

Attendees will gain a greater understanding of the impacts of using these technologies in an operational setting and cover some of the common issues in faced in deployment.

The course will:

  1.  Review the use of autonomous vehicles in transport.
  2. Discuss the various transport systems, global issues that affect these and future innovations.
  3. Understand the safety issue for human/technology interaction in transport.
  4. Plan for autonomous vehicles using a people-centred approach.

Learning outcomes:

Delivery and duration:

This course is two full days (9:30am – 4pm). It will be delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting at the National Transport Design Centre, Coventry University by experts in the field of strategy, logistics, transport, human factors and design and safety.

Location:

The National Transport Design Centre, is located at the Technology Park, Swift Road Coventry, CV1 2TT.

Course Dates:

The course will run on Monday 8 July and Tuesday 9 July 2024.

Costs:

The course costs £1,175 and includes on-site parking and lunch.
