Welcome to Coventry University Group’s India Hub in Delhi. Expected to launch in March 2024, the new Hub will be a driving force for collaboration with the Indian government, academia, and industry to tackle global challenges, such as climate change, economic development and health issues.

The India Hub will offer unique academic opportunities for students and will help the Group to build and strengthen our partnerships in enterprise and innovation. Through the Hub, we will also develop relationships with stakeholders across business and government that will enable us to launch new research projects and deliver impact on a local, national and international scale.

Enterprise and Innovation

Coventry University Group is an innovative group that aims to help industry continue to develop and deliver meaningful change for communities through continuous professional development (CPD) courses, commercial research, IP commercialisation and knowledge exchange activities. This involves transferring research results and skills to businesses, enabling new products, services, and processes to be developed.
Research

Our research focuses on a range of real-world issues including sustainability, disease prevention and cutting-edge engineering. Our new strategy will build on these successes, strengthen our position as an innovative university and will enable us to apply fresh and original approaches to key research challenges. We look to establish joint PhDs and research collaborations by linking Coventry University’s academics with academics from India.

With a wealth of experience in teaching and learning, student mobility, research and enterprise development, Coventry University Group operates globally, having already built several successful multi-disciplinary partnerships. Our team

Our team in the India Hub provides a broad range of skills and capabilities, enabling us to deepen partnerships and build new relationships in India, while providing local knowledge, contacts and expertise to other areas of the Group.

In the India Hub, our policy analysts and business development specialists focusing on both research and enterprise and innovation opportunities will be joined by the existing Coventry University Recruitment and Admissions (CURA) team based in Delhi, who focus on facilitating the recruitment of students from India.

Meet Leena Kukreja

Regional Managing Director of the India Hub

Leena has extensive experience in facilitating bilateral and multilateral higher education, science and innovation collaborations, and was previously Senior Advisor at the Office of Science and Innovation based at Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi.

Leena brings with her a wealth of experience from her time working within the Australian Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, as well as with the UK science and innovation community, leading on various innovation projects including the Australia India Strategic Research Fund.

A biotechnologist by training, Leena is passionate about supporting women in STEM and has supported various workshops, policy dialogues and reports on the subject, including the flagship program SHE STEM delivered by Atal Innovation Mission, Government of India.
