Providing your course essentials at no extra cost

University is a great investment but we understand that many students and their parents may be concerned about the cost of fees.

This is why we promise to make it clear what is included in the fees you pay so there’s no surprises along the way.

We also believe the lifelong value of higher education far outweighs any short-term costs – you will develop personally, intellectually and professionally, gaining a distinct advantage in the job market.

What's included?

We're committed to communicating study costs clearly to make sure you're not faced with having to make any unexpected payments.

For September 2021, your full-time fee for an undergraduate degree at Coventry University will cover the following:

 

UK field trips

Any mandatory UK site visits and trips (Subsistence during the trips is not included).

 

Key materials

This can include core e-textbooks, software and equipment.*

 

Laser prints

1,000 A4 sides of black and white laser printing credits per year.**

*Coventry University London, CU Coventry, CU London, CU Scarborough and Coventry University Online students have access to the e-Book scheme.

**If you are unable to attend campus you will not be able to use the printing credit.


Faculty of Arts and Humanities

Courses in the Faculty are provided packages including key study texts, materials and technology relevant to the specialist area.

This may also include course specific items such as music, language or media software, specialist tuition and subject masterclasses.

Faculty of Business and Law

Courses usually include a package of key e-textbooks or other reading materials. Some of these are exclusive to Coventry University to make sure they fully match the course needs!

Some courses also offer membership to an internationally recognised professional body for up to a year.

Memberships can include access to additional online materials and resources beneficial for your course.

Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing

Most courses include some key reading materials such as e-textbooks.A lot of our courses are very technology based, so you may receive software, electronic devices or drawing equipment, as well as key safety equipment needed for workshops.

Faculty of Health and Life Sciences

Most courses include some key reading materials such as e-textbooks.

Some courses have additional interactive electronic resources to enhance learning. Some of these are exclusive to Coventry University to make sure they fully match the course needs!

Depending on your subject area you may also receive items such as sports clothing, lab coats, fingerprint kits or specialist software.
