Coventry University is inviting applications for a number of funded and self-funded PhD opportunities for prospective candidates, beginning in 2021.

Our PhD studentships have been put together by leading researchers across the institution, covering a breadth of disciplines and research areas.

With just under 600 academics working in our challenge-led, interdisciplinary Research Centres, each excelling in its own specialist areas, it never been a more exciting time to join Coventry University as a research candidate.

The featured studentships include the opportunity to undertake research that supports the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, Coventry University’s Trailblazer scheme encourages exceptional PhD candidates to undertake transformative research alongside early-career researchers. These studentships have been designed by researchers who are at the early stages in their academic careers, aiming to create an intellectual space where new researchers can participate in, and develop, trailblazing research.

Coventry University are also part of the Midlands4Cities Doctoral Partnership, which funds the next generation of Arts and Humanities researchers.

We also offer a range of flexible programs to support people in full time work, including the PhD by Publication, DBA and PhD in Global Education.

We are delighted to be supporting the continued growth and development of our postgraduate community, enabling opportunities for candidates to undertake research that aspires to have a global impact. Our 2021 opportunities are testament to Coventry University’s thriving research environment.

Professor Richard Dashwood, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research)
