This event will showcase AI activity taking place across Coventry University, giving attendees the opportunity to explore the AI Commons vision for AI, learn about key initiatives and support pathways, discuss opportunities and concerns and engage with AI transformation across research, education, professional services and wider business activity.

Agenda

  • 13:30–13:45: Opening keynote explaining why the AI Commons exists alongside key messages and points of discussion
  • 13:45–14:35: “What the AI Commons Does” - A conversational session exploring the work of the AI Skills Academy, AI Adoption Lab, CDT and research talent initiatives, and human-centred AI and governance activity supporting AI literacy, practical adoption, interdisciplinary collaboration and responsible innovation across Coventry University.
  • 14:35–15:10: Open Audience Discussion - focused on identifying opportunities, gathering ideas and concerns, encouraging participation in the AI Commons and building a shared sense of ownership across the University.
  • 15:10–16:00: Networking and AI Commons Tables - tables focused on skills development, AI adoption, research and talent, ethics and governance, education, and global partnerships
