The Centre for Computational Science and Mathematical Modelling welcome Professor Simon See, Senior Director of the NVIDIA AI Technology Center, to deliver a seminar “The Current State of AI and Computational Requirements”.

The title of the talk was “The Current State of AI and Computational Requirements”.

Professor Simon See is a leading international senior researcher, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in industrial and academic research related to data science and high performance computing (HPC). He is the Senior Director of Nvidia AI Technology Center (Global) and, in this capacity, leads all worldwide developments at NVIDIA in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and high performance computing for data science and AI.

Many of the outstanding developments related to AI and HPC at NVIDIA worldwide happen under the leadership of Professor Simon See.  Simon See graduated from the University of Salford (UK) with a PhD in electrical engineering and numerical analysis in 1993. Prior to joining NVIDIA, he worked for SGI, DSO National Lab of Singapore, IBM, International Simulation Ltd (UK), Sun Microsystems, and Oracle. 

Professor See is a member of the Advisory Board member for the Data Science and Emerging Technologies Theme at Coventry University.
