Coventry University is celebrating a momentous digital milestone after enrolling its one millionth online learner since launching its first online degrees in 2018.

1,028,509 people have now signed up for the university’s wide range of online degrees, massive open online courses (MOOCs) and other online short courses.

The university’s online degrees come with extensive support, including access to a range of student services, personal tutoring, and 24/7 access to a virtual learning environment.

Coventry University has developed a strong reputation for the quality of its online offering, being ranked as the world’s best provider of online courses in MoocLab's World University Rankings in 2021.

Coventry University is also the only UK higher education institution to hold 5 QS stars for Online Learning.

MOOCs are online educational courses which are open and available for anyone to enrol. Coventry’s MOOCs are free to study and give two-week tasters of the university’s online degrees, making them an accessible and flexible way for learners to gain in-demand skills, as well as providing an insight into studying longer term with Coventry University. A range of MOOCs unrelated to degrees are also available.

The online courses are designed to offer a flexible approach, giving learners the opportunity to increase their employability skills and take great strides in their career paths.

We are delighted to have achieved this significant milestone in the delivery of online education across the globe. It is recognition of the talent and knowledge developed within Coventry University Online and the wider Coventry University Group.
