Nazaraf Shah

Biography

Nazaraf Shah holds a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD degree in computer science from Coventry University. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Ethical Hacking and Computer Security. Nazaraf has a broad interest in Service-oriented Computing and Semantic Web and has published over 50 papers in the area of service-oriented computing simulation, scheduling and software applications development.
 

Nazaraf has served as a member of various program committees for more than ten international conferences. He has been workshop chair and publication chair of IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering (ICEBE). He has given an invited talk in the Second International Conference on Cyber Security in 2013.

Research Interests 

  • Fundamental research and empirical analysis in the area of distributed network computing, especially multi-agent systems (MAS)
  • Endowing autonomous agents with the ability to detect and diagnose exceptions in a cooperative manner and developing techniques for diagnosing and handling runtime exceptions in open MAS where agents belong to different organisations
  • Ethical Hacking and Information Security
  • Design and implementation of secure web-based enterprise application using Agent and Web Services Technologies
  • Application of ICT in Energy Management Systems
