Podcast (audio) assessment feedback

Course Overview

Audio feedback can be an improvement or useful alternative to written feedback in the perception of students and assessors.  For example it allows communication on a more personal level with the ability to present tone and this can result in more motivating feedback. This workshop aims to:

 

  • Provide a practical experience of creating a podcast to provide feedback to students for use in formative and summative assessments
  • Provide potential guidelines for creating and listening to podcasts for students and tutors 
  • Present briefly, key findings from research carried out within a level three occupational therapy module that provides podcast feedback on student summative assessments.
