Apply for an 18+ Oyster photocard

If you’re 18 or over, a student and living in a London borough, you can apply for an 18+ Student Oyster photocard and save 30% on adult-rate Travelcards and Bus and Tram Pass season tickets.

Your 18+ Student Oyster photocard will expire when your course ends. We will notify Transport for London when your course has finished and you are no longer eligible.

Complete the application form

To apply, you will need to create an account before completing the online application form for your Oyster photocard.

You will need:

A digital photo which must be a .jpg, .bmp or .gif file and less than 6MB
A credit or debit card to pay the administration fee.
An active email address
Your Student ID number
A London borough address

Transport for London will post your 18+ Student Oyster photocard to you once your application has been approved.

Check your application status

To track the progress of your application, you can sign in to your photocard web account. If you gave them your mobile number when you applied, they will text you when your photocard is on its way.
