Understanding your timetable
Each coloured block on your timetable shows a class you need to attend (either in-person or online). It also shows the time and location of the class as well as the module code and lecturer’s name.
Use the arrows on the top left to scroll through each week of the academic year. To view your timetable by day or month, use the arrows on the top right.
Tip: In cases of last minute or emergency changes your lecturer may contact you by email or Aula. These changes will be updated on your timetable. If you are unsure please contact your lecturer or timetabling directly.
Asking for a change
If there’s an academic reason to change the day or time of a class, discuss it with your lecturer or course director and ask them to contact the timetabling team on your behalf. Requests to change the timetable for personal reasons aren’t usually approved. These will only be considered in very exceptional circumstances.
Tip: Please remember that any approved changes can take up to 48 hours to appear.
Timetable issues
If you think something does not look correct on your timetale and need to contact someone, please contact the timetabling teams as follows:
- College of the Arts and Society
- College of Business and Law
- School of Health and Care
- College of Engineering, Environment and Science
- Professional Services and other non-college areas
Tip: When you’ve enrolled, your timetable can take up to 48 hours to update and display the correct sessions and groups.
What to do while your timetable is being updated
If your timetable still isn’t right 48 hours after enrolling, please contact your Course Director or Module Leaders through Aula to ask which session you should attend. They’ll be able to direct you to the best sessions to attend until it’s corrected.
What to do if your timetable isn’t personalised
At first, your timetable may not be personalised. You may see all available sessions for the modules you’re taking. While you’re waiting for it to update, go to one session per module and make sure the lecturer records your attendance. Keep checking your timetable regularly - when it updates, it’ll show your assigned sessions.
