Bridging the gap to university 

Connect is a short course designed to prepare adults to get back in to education. This free course will provide information on how to progress to university and the skills needed to succeed. Each session will take place in Scarborough for two hours each week for five weeks.

Week 1 - Wednesday 22 January - Exploring Higher Education

Week 2 - Wednesday 29 January - Funding Higher Education

Week 3 - Wednesday 5 February - Effective Study Skills

Week 4 - Wednesday 12 February Subject Lectures

Week 5 - Wednesday 19 February - Subject Lectures

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants on completion of this course.

Progression paths

The Connect course will be a useful way for you to explore the idea of university and boost your confidence. If you are considering an Access to Higher Education course, Connect may be of particular benefit.

While entry to any of our programmes is subject to meeting their individual criteria, this course offers a foundation of the information and skills you will need to study at a higher level. Below are a selection of the Access to HE and other courses that we offer at our three campuses.
