If you’ve chosen the course that you feel is right for you the next step is to make your application.
CU Scarborough ensure that all applications are managed according to the nationally agreed framework and appropriate standards.
We typically require:
|Foundation Year||40 UCAS tariff points|
|Higher National Certificate (HNC)||64 UCAS tariff points|
|Higher National Diploma (HND)||80 UCAS tariff points|
|BA/BEng/BSc (Hons) degree||104 UCAS tariff points|
|5 GCSEs at grade A-C including mathematics and English are required for all courses.|
Applicants who do not fulfil the above entry criteria will be considered on an individual basis, taking into account other factors.
If you’re interested in a full-time course your application must be submitted via UCAS.

Considering your UCAS application with equal consideration
We have extended the equal consideration deadline to 30 June 2021. This is in recognition of the ongoing disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic on students and education settings and as part of our commitment to widening access.
- We will extend equal consideration for UCAS applications for all undergraduate courses commencing in September 2021.
- All applications received, through both the main UCAS cycle and UCAS extra, will be considered equally until the extended deadline of 30 June 2021.
- Entry criteria will be reviewed and may be subject to change for applications received through UCAS Clearing.
We understand that now more than ever students need flexibility to achieve their ambitions. We hope that by extending the deadline you can think through your future options with less pressure.

Access to HE
For our Access to HE courses you can apply to us by filling in our online application form.
Formal qualifications are not mandatory for entry. Assessment will be via a 30 minute discussion and a short numeracy and literacy test.
For applicants whose first language is not English, we will require an English language competence by completing a successful Secure English Language Test (SELT) with a minimum score of 6.0 or an equivalent level 2 qualification.
