Open Events

Our Open Events provide a great opportunity for prospective students, their families and friends to get to know more about the award-winning higher education we offer in Scarborough. Our courses are highly flexible, accessible to all and are linked to skills gaps in the area, meaning they are more likely to lead directly to employment.

You can find out more about this by coming to one of the events listed below, where you’ll also have the opportunity to meet our staff and students, discuss the courses and discover what life is like as a student of CU Scarborough.

Online Open Events

The National Education Opportunities Network (NEON), in collaboration with the Student Loans Company (SLC) and seven higher education (HE) partners, is hosting four online webinars to provide information, advice and guidance on HE for mature learners.

Entering HE can seem daunting. These free online sessions will provide impartial information on the benefits of HE, how to finance your studies and how to navigate qualification levels and entry requirements, as well as what student life is like for a mature learner.

You will hear from experienced student recruitment and admission specialists, the SLC as well as current and former mature learners who have entered HE and can provide a personal insight into what life is like when going back to studying.
