Everything you need to know about paying your deposit
Before you can receive your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), unconditional offer or enrol, you may need to pay a deposit. The deadline and schedule for these payments will be set out in your conditional offer letter. Payment of the deposit confirms your place at the university, but only once you’ve also met all the conditions of your offer.
Paying your deposit is important and you should do it before you travel. To meet all university and visa requirements, you must make this payment. If you don’t, you won’t be able to enrol or legally remain in the UK.
You can find more information on completing your enrolment here.
We use a secure platform called Convera where you can pay all of your fees easily online.
How much do I need to pay?
If you’re an international student, the amount depends on where you’re from*:
- European Union, Sub-Saharan Africa and Northern Africa: £4,000
- Pakistan, Bangladesh, India (Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana) - Full tuition fees charged for the first year of your course
- All other countries: £8,000
*Some regions may have different rules. Check section 6a of our tuition fee terms for more information

When should I pay?
Pay your deposit at least three months before your course starts to give yourself enough time to arrange your visa, travel and accommodation.
What do I need to pay before I can enrol?
All international students must pay at least £8,000 before they can enrol, unless your initial conditional offer letter advises a higher amount of tuition fees will be required prior to enrolment, in which case, you must make sure you have paid at least that amount. If your course total is less than that, you’ll need to pay the full amount.
