Annual leave

Coventry University offers generous annual leave entitlement, which is linked to your grade and length of service. Our current provision is a minimum of 28 days rising to a maximum of between 33 and 40 days dependent of grade (plus bank holidays).

Pension schemes

Coventry University offers two different pension schemes for staff:

• Teacher’s Pension Scheme (TPS);
• Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS);

CarShare

The University works with ‘liftshare’ to provide staff with its very own car share scheme. To use the scheme you need to register your journey details and you will be matched with other registered members who live locally to you.

Healthcare

University staff members can benefit from specially discounted membership rates on a cash plan.

The Sport and Recreation Centre

Coventry University prides itself on its excellent range of sport and recreation facilities, which comprise a fitness suite, dance studio, therapy clinic, two and four court activity halls as well as outdoor pitches which are ideal for football, rugby, hockey and American football.

We have a range of exercise classes and the timetable is updated regularly. Choose from Body Combat, Yoga, Cardio Tennis, Zumba and much more.  

Language programme

Want to learn to speak a foreign language? Mandarin, Russian, Hindi and French are just some of the languages taught on Coventry University’s Linguae Mundi foreign language programme. Our classes are an affordable and engaging way to learn a language in a fun group setting. You will learn how to communicate in a foreign language in everyday situations from ordering food in a restaurant to making new friends. The 10-week programme costs £89 for staff.
